Reverse Library Cuts

The Havering Residents Association (HRA)  have announced a plan to close three of Havering's libraries, to save £288,000 a year.

The decision to close Harold Wood, South Hornchurch and Gidea Park libraries, will go before the Council’s Cabinet on Wednesday 5 February 2025, and be subject to review at Council Overview and Scrutiny Committee on Monday 3 February 2025.

We are calling on the HRA to reverse the plan for these cuts, identifying savings elsewhere.

During the budget meeting, we will be presenting a budget which keeps these libraries open.

Sign our petition, calling on the HRA to reverse their plan for closures.

We, the undersigned, call on Havering Council to reverse the plan to close three of Havering's libraries.
